I’m JoJo Tabares and I have struggled with various chronic conditions for many years. I’ve had times when I’ve been in tears and times when I’ve been frustrated, but when I was told I HAD cancer, it changed my perspective and focus.
Mine was a miracle story. I was never told I HAVE cancer. My doctors didn’t even suspect until after they found these rare and fast-growing cancer cells (in their infancy) in my biopsy!
Having struggled with so many things over the years. It was, and sometimes still is, frustrating, but knowing I was spared something of much greater significance made it easier for me to change my focus to the things in my life that really matter and see the joy in them.
There’s a saying I’ve heard a lot over the years, “There’s light at the end of the tunnel.” After being diagnosed with several chronic issues/illnesses, I never found that saying helpful. It’s not as comforting if your struggle is chronic. My purpose here is to share the joy and light INside the tunnel so I can help those who are struggling with chronic issues (that don’t end this side of heaven) to find a way to live in hope and joy.
I’m no longer writing much here. I’m now enjoying a new passion. I’m an Independent Certified Coach with Optavia.
